The Wedge Is Back! Don't Fret - It May Help Us Out This Time!

As soon as that first batch of heavy rain moved out, that typical cold air wedge from the North moved it. That's the reason for the foggy skies and can also explain why the temperature in Charlotte dropped 15 degrees in just several hours.

You can also blame the wedge on all of this gloomy weather we've been dealing with - seems like we've been under it forever!

Before you start getting angry, we can be grateful this time around for that old wedge. A powerful cold front is producing severe thunderstorms capable of tornadoes through North Georgia. It is our thought that those storms will weaken considerably by the time they are here because they will be running into colder air. That cold air is courtesy of the wedge!
